Answer
Creating a project is free. Each manual or scheduled run uses one audit credit regardless of the page limit, and failed scans are refunded. The crawler downloads HTML, robots.txt, and sitemap.xml only; it does not download images, CSS, or JavaScript.
Key points
The default limit is 25 pages. At roughly 50-300KB of HTML per page, a typical run downloads about 1.3-7.5MB plus robots.txt and the sitemap. Actual usage depends on page size, compression, and sitemap size.
Every response has a 5MB safety limit, so the theoretical cap is about 135MB for the default 25 pages plus robots and sitemap, or about 510MB at the 100-page maximum.
Without redirects, the current default whole-site flow makes about 27 core text requests, compared with about 6 core HTML/text requests for the original single-page audit. Practical inbound bandwidth is usually several times higher, without asset traffic.
Weekly and monthly schedules use one audit credit on every execution and count toward the daily limit of day-based plans.
