Credits and resources
How many credits and how much bandwidth does a whole-site scan use?
Creating a project is free. Each manual or scheduled run uses one audit credit regardless of the page limit, and failed scans are refunded. The crawler downloads HTML, robots.txt, and sitemap.xml only; it does not download images, CSS, or JavaScript.
Key points
- The default limit is 25 pages. At roughly 50-300KB of HTML per page, a typical run downloads about 1.3-7.5MB plus robots.txt and the sitemap. Actual usage depends on page size, compression, and sitemap size.
- Every response has a 5MB safety limit, so the theoretical cap is about 135MB for the default 25 pages plus robots and sitemap, or about 510MB at the 100-page maximum.
- Without redirects, the current default whole-site flow makes about 27 core text requests, compared with about 6 core HTML/text requests for the original single-page audit. Practical inbound bandwidth is usually several times higher, without asset traffic.
- Weekly and monthly schedules use one audit credit on every execution and count toward the daily limit of day-based plans.
